[DML] Re: car alarm for DMC?

My 81 has an Alpine car alarm installed in it.  It even includes the module to lock and unlock the doors (good thing since the door key has beenAWOL since before I bought the car).  I believe that this (along with the Alpine Radio) were installed by Stephen Wynne for the previous owner.

 

I believe that Rob Grady (www.pjgrady.com) is also working on an addition to the lockzilla that would probably be a good ad-on to an alarm system

Hi, all-

Do the gull wing doors cause any significant problems when trying to
install a car alarm? Most car alarm specialty places I have called haven't
installed into a DMC-12, but assume that everything will go without a hitch.
I have no doubt that they *believe* they can do it, but I am sending out
feelers to find out if anyone has had problems with the installation of a
car alarm.

On the same note, if anyone knows of a place that has experience with car
alarms in a DMC-12 in Northern California, please let me know.

Also, any suggestions for a type/brand of alarm for a Delorean would be
appreciated.
