Both Wm Wilson and Bruce Benson are correct. But, they are talking about two different things. The blow-off valve is, as Bruce says, a boost limiter. It has been used for years on race cars. The pop-off valve is a relatively new item in the turbo world. It is, as Wilson says, used to reduce the excess pressure that buils up between shifts because of the throttle being closed. It is now offered as an aftermarket piece by several performance equipment manufacturers. I know of no one who has installed one (or two) on a DeLorean, but can think of no reason why they couldn't be so installed. Dick Ryan VIN 16867
