Donald, My car D use to be black but the paint started to peel so I stripped it off. All it took was a gallon of Jasco paint remover and about half a day's time. The stainless finish was fine underneath, the only real problem was the fact that I used a razor blade to scrape the paint off and so I had some inadvertant scratches to buff out. Maybe a softer scraper would have been a better choice, perhaps wood or plastic as long as you clean it frequently (Methylene Chloride is the active ingredient in Jasco and it melts a lot of plastics). The key is take your time. -SweatyEddy ----- Original Message ----- From: Donald Kazmark <donald.kazmark@xxxx> To: <dmcnews@xxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wednesday, August 11, 1999 6:21 PM Subject: [DML] paint removal > Does anyone have any experience in converting a painted car back to > sainless.
