Remember that the light on the dash not only indicates that the parking
brake is active, but also that the brake fluid level is low. I'd suggest
checking your brake fluid and/or the float in the top of the resevoir.

I can't say what that means as i don't have a wiring diagram available at
moment. The previous suggestions may help though...
