When Delorean was leaving GM, he attempted to obtain or purchase the rights, plans and prototype of the the Aerovette. The Aerovette was a wankel powered, rear engine or mid-engine, gullwinged car, that Delorean did work on while at Chevy. The prototype was even painted silver. Now it is my opinion that if Delorean had obtain the rights, plans, and the prototype of this car when he left GM, we all would be driving very diffrent looking Deloreans today. The Delorean that we are driving today had no influence directly from GM. Keep the dream alive and be safe, Robert Starling Vin#5252
