Yes, the only leather used in the DeLorean is the seat inserts.
EVERYTHING else is a nicely matching imitation. A local upholstery
man worked with these when they were being made by a "Bridge of
Weir" Connoly Leather. He since moved from Europe to the US and endedup
here (Walla Walla, WA.) of all places. He also worked with the Rolls
leather upholstery and others. HE says a BETTER choice tho, if you really
want something to last, is Naugahyde. It wears much better than real
leather according to him. A Lincoln car I had a few years back had
an OPTION of CLOTH upholstery. IT cost a lot more than Leather!
