I have to reply to the comment by "Dr. Bob":

"I would not recommended a center force clutch for a D. I bought one years
ago when my stock clutch died. After installing it PROPERLY, the counter
weight would not clear the pressure plate. I eventually had to remove them. 
Go with a stock clutch pack."

I've sold and installed lots of Centerforce clutches for DeLoreans over the
years and have a custom-made one in my supercharged car. They work great. 
And the counterweights are on the pressure plate, so how could they not
clear it? Somebody installed something incorrectly.
