[DML] Steering Woes from Heck

Ok I have run out of ideas on this one...

I recently put in a new steering rack and lower U joint to take care of
a sloppy steering problem. Ever since then the steering seems to bind
up and get stuck going around. I've disconnected the joints from the
rack and find the rack to be tight with no binding so I know it must be
somewhere in the joints. To try to solve the problem I replaced the
bushing at the firewall thinking that would solve the problem but no
luck. I have soaked the joints in oil to make sure neither are stiff. 
Steering column itself seems to be binding free. Any ideas??
