Dan,

Call Rob at PJ Grady. He sells a "new"digital Delco 105 amp alternator. 
This Delco unit fits the original DeLorean's mount with no mechanical 
modification or belt changes necessary. You do have to just change one wire 
which you can do without any fanfare. This Delco unit resolved the 
electrical problem that haunts the DeLorean.
