Hearsay indeed! There was never a DeLorean sedan DMC
designation. Just another JZD dream right to the end.

BTW, none of the DMC series was named for its price. The
very first DMC-12 was targeted at $7K in 1974 dollars. The
1981 DMC-12 was listed at $25K sticker.
