Standard auction condition ratings is just the opposite, Ben.
>From Sports Car Market magazine:
1: National Concours standard / perfect
2:Very Good, club concours, some small flaws
3:Average daily driver in decent condition
4:Still a driver but with some apparent flaws
5:A nasty beast that runs but has many problems
6:a non-running car in wretched physical condition
that is probably good only good for parts.

$15,000 will provide you with a good driver's DeLorean. The very good
and excellent road cars are priced 13-17k. If you are looking for a car
in collector's condition or even concours, you will probably have to go
17-25k. There is a standardized scale of rating car quality. It uses
numbers 1 though 6 to describe increasing car value. A one is a parts
car. A 6 is a concours car. I would rate my DeLorean at a 4 or 5, and
I paid 14,000. This means that the vehicle is decent enough to win an
occasional prize in a show, but lacks those little things that prevent
it from the 100-point mark. Good luck hunting and never give up.
