Today I met with a DeLorean owner in San Diego, CA and he told me that he had disconnected the fuse (or relay I can't remember which) responsible for the electric door locking mechanism. The owner did this because he "Didn't want to get locked in his car like Johnny Carson". The doors were able to be locked and unlocked manually using the levers on each door while the driver was inside the car.. When exiting the car, the key would have to be used to lock the doors individually. Does this seem like a good solution to prevent one from getting locked in their car (without spending the money on new solenoids and a lockzilla) Has anyone else tried this?
