These numbers have been tossed around for years, but I question the 
validity of the 1982 and 1983 numbers. 

As near as I can determine, the 1126 number for 82's was arrived at 
through a DeLorean Service Bulletin which talked about a VIN range for 
1982's, from 10000 through 11126. But there are several cars owned by 
DML'ers with VIN's above 11126, as high as 11800.

In Ireland a few years back, I saw one of the RHD cars converted at the 
company's request that was VIN 12174, with a build month of May 1982.

I recently came into possession of a computer print out of VINs, interior 
color, transmission type and engine block# for 1982 cars up to 11126. 
This will be incorporated into the DeLorean Production Chronology when it 
is updated next month.
