On this subject of the Delorean and long journeys.The car has a very
large engine and was built for speed as most Sports Cars are, it was
never really built for long journeys.
I worked in the factory in Belfast were the car was built and I talked
to John Z Delorean about this subject.
The car was built as a
status symbol to be sold on the West coast of America i.e California
etc.
On Sunday at lunch-time
the Daughter would be sent of to the Golf Club to collect Daddy for
lunch.The Net in the rear of the car is there to hold the shopping in
place coming home from the Supermarket,this car was designed as a little
run-around.
Of course it can be used
on long journeys but most people would prefer a Rolls Royce
