I'm looking right at a Volvo factory manual (CI Fuel System, B27 B28 E/F):
Page 102:
"Check CO content
B27F 1976 1.4-2.0%
1977 USA Calif .04-1.0%
1977 USA Fed .07-1.3%
1977 Canada 1.4-2.0%
1978-1979 .07-1.3%
