Just an FYI, if this happens to anyone, bring the check to the State
Police and they put it in their system and can arrest the guy for Fraud
and False Pretences. They can also be prosecuted under Federal Law
(stiffer fines and prison time) as it is a violation of Interstate
Commerce if it take place between states.

It does not matter what this guy's name is. This is becoming more and
more common. It is easy to forge what could pass for a bank check
nowadays with a personal computer and a laser printer. You CANNOT accept
a bank check, certified check, or cashier's check without verifacation.
Become suspicious when it is for more than the actual transaction. DO
