[DML] Transmission substitution?

I had heard once that someone had replaced the transmission in his 
DeLorean with that of a Porsche 911 4-speed automatic, and that he 
used a "conversion kit" of some sorts. Is this mechanically 
possible?? I don't think I've ever heard of anyone doing that with 
their cars before. What are all your thoughts?
