If you can get some wire on the starter and connect
the two bolts on the tail end of the starter, and it
cranks, you know you're not getting power somewhere.
I would check the resistor in the engine compartment.
There are some brown wires behind the passenger seat
that connect to one of the circuit breakers. I would
check those. Mine have fallen off before, and the
symptoms - minus the starter fuse melting - were
identical. I have to go to class so I am being vague
being in a hurry and all. Get back to us, and maybe I
can get some more information out next time.
