Hello Dave,
I'm reading the discussion about changing the shift points of the automatic
transmission with greast interest. You stated the following:
"You might be able to fake it into shifting a little bit later by
pulling the throttle input cable all the way up, but conversly it would
downshift sooner too."
I was wondering if this procedure won't destruct the construction of
Govenor. As I recall you adjust the cable by full throttle and then you have
to stay away something like 0,3 mm to a little pin that holds the lever on
the govenor to a maximun travel. If you keep pulling the cable, won't it
break that pin? And can the lever be turned more then this "end point pin"
indicates?
Otherwise it would be a very easy job to change the shift points. At least a
little?
Regards,
Michiel Bohmer
