The replacements I got myself a while ago (incandescent) were 1.2W,
so 0.1 A of current, so around 120 Ohms of resistance.

You have to take into account that LEDs have a threshold and that
below that threshold they will NOT light. So IMO it would be better
to put a resistor in parrallel that is able to draw the full needed
current. When the light actually lights a slightly higher current
is drawn, but I believe this will be within the abilities of the
other hardware, as incandescents also have a bit of "play" to
account for manuafacturing differences...
But the most simple solution is to just keep THAT (or those) light
with a bulb, replacing the HVAC-lights IS worth the effort (and cash).
