I was able to activate the clutch fork with a 30-inch pry bar against one of the casting bosses on the bellhousing. You'll never be able to compress the pressure plate spring directly by hand. Put the trans in any gear, while you are prying on the fork have someone attempt to turn both axle flanges together. WHen they can turn them you have released the clutch.
