Patrick, The new ones work exactly like the old ones. They just use a lot less power, and they also use outboard relays so there is virtually no strain on your lock control module. If your remote lock/unlock worked before your solenoids died, then it will work fine with the new actuator kit. I have Toby's door launcher kit - probably the exact same kit you have - and I also have his new door lock actuators.
