I just replaced my burnt out glove box bulb with the following Radio Shack part: 272-1134. It lights up. That bulb is described on the packaging as 14 volts, 200mA, and as a bulb #1487. Brightness is listed as 1.4MSCP. It looks about as bright as regular glove box illumination. Average life is 30 hours. Package of 2 is $1.50. Hope this helps those looking for a cross reference instead of replacing the whole roughly $8 assembly just for a blown bulb. If someone who knows a lot about the electrics sees something wrong with this, please do post a follow up explaining if / why this is wrong.
