[DML] Reverse Lights Still Won't Work

Hey all, help end my frustrations.   
     I have checked and cleaned the connections to the reverse switch, I even 
replaced it with a new one.   I checked the taillight connections and cleaned 
them, and it looks like both of the bulbs are okay too.   I can't figure out 
why I can't get the reverse lights to come on though.   I have no idea how 
long they have been out, other than I knew they worked when I bought the car.   
Any other ideas on where to check/how to fix this problem?
