I assume you meant open the first time in that sentence, not closed.  The 
toll booth window is clearly open while he's talking through it.  There 
was plenty of time for him to close the window as the other guy was 
walking around the car.  The big clue, however, is that once they're 
inside the car, you can see rain water all over the driver's side toll 
booth window, and no evidence in the water patterns of it having been 
recently rolled up.  (Yeah, this is pretty nit-picky...)

I hate to break it to you, but not all Delorean owners are straight.
