hi,
my name is jordan. i am 17 years old and live in california. first of all, i just
want to say i ENVY ALL OF YOU! you people have DeLoreans! I love
deloreans! they're the coolest cars ever! screw all the others! its all about
deloreans! lol....ok...i'm done
NOT!...lol. second, i have a 1960 apache 10 chevy. i am thinking about
making it my 'project' car, yet now that i think about it, i'd rather have a
delorean. i'd restore it and make it nice. yet i'd also make it be able to appeal
to all types of people....i know you people will probably want to kill me for
saying this but i'd put some crazy things on my delorean. neon nights, lowerd,
new rims, 2 sub-woofers....and a few other crazy mods! maybe even some
NOS! i'd probably have to put some of that in there. lol. my '60 truck has a v8
in it....if i got a delorean, it'd have to be able to compete against my truck...lol!
i wouldn't ever 'rice' it though. i'd rather see a delorean smashed into small
tiny pieces before i'd rice it. lol...but that could just be me. ok... thx for
listening...!!!

I myself wear a 3xl in some fits. Mostly for the shoulder and chest area,
but still drive my "D" just fine. I find that many lower quality shirts and
such are sized a bit small, too tight for me. Anyone who has met me in

I had a similar occurance to this one.
After I had purchased #17006, I was going for my first Pennsylvania
inspection. When I parked, a car pulled up and stopped in front of me. The
driver got out and introduced himself as Dr. Ron Klimes of the DeLorean
Mid-Atlantic Club. He saw me go by and followed me. Luckily I wasn't going
far.

Seems like every time I'm convinced this car is going to be perfect I
get to learn something new.
This week..
When I take off from a stop and go around a corner I seem to
hear/feel a small clunk in the front tires/wheels.. almost like I ran
over something. This only happens when I go slightly faster than
normal. If I crawl around a corner I don't seem to get the problem.
It seems to happen regardless of which way I'm turning and it seems
to require that I turn the car fairly rapidly and turn about 90
degrees. Any ideas?

Over the next few weeks we will be updating the web page frequently.
If you haven't heard we have a special guest for you at the show.
Claudia Wells ( Jennifer Parker in the movie BTTF 1) will be joining us.

We finally and I do mean finally
received a deal with a company to give us Visa. Its been a long time and
anyone that is receiving the magazine or has been to one of the shows will get
the updated newsletter that will go into more detail.
I cannot stand to overpay for services or agree to terms that do not serve us
well and finally I got what I wanted so we now have credit card services.
It is being set up now and as soon as its in place we will begin the
registration. The prices have been finalized.
We will be mailing flyers to the vendors to hand out as well so its getting
close to registration time.

The show is now beyond one person doing it all and these two have been great
in helping me out when I need it,
Just wanted to say thanks Guys.
The raffle car is coming along. It is being refurbished so that the winner
can just drive it away. This includes a new fuel system, carpets, painted
facias, new tires, new front brakes, new struts, new weatherstrips, and a lot
more. It will be driven this spring to events and to the show. It can be viewed
anytime and in the near future we will be putting pictures on the web page.
You can buy your tickets when you register. Winner does not need to be
present to win. Its a cool car.
Yes the car is for real ( I keep getting e-mail with people still not
convinced we will be giving away a DeLorean or that it exists) Again it was
displayed for some of the Atlantic DeLorean members.
So check out the web page and get ready to register. This will be another
record in attendance. So I challenge everyone who went last year to find
someone that doesn't know about the show and bring them along.

hello all,
The weather was so bad this 4 day weekend I couldnt take the car out at all. I did remove the front interior light that never worked right and took it apart and cleaned all the contacts with brasso, came out real nice.
I found that on the clear plastic part of the switch is a circular brass ring that closes the connections. The brass is mounted via an appendage of the clear plastic and a smaller metal ring, heated and mashed together to hold it in place. REAL CHEAP. This plastic bends when the bulb heats unter tension of the spring and pushes downward. I was able to heat and bend it back into position works good now. Ill post a few pictures tonite.

Subject: Torsion bar adjustment issues
Hello all;
Ill be posting pictures on thsi but I thought id give a heads up. when removing the t panel it was evident that the middle plate had risen up in the middle. Looks like it was riveted down but it didnt hold. You can see that the torsion bars are not even when looking from the back. I saw the article about removing the bars and fixing the problem.
you will see that it looks pretty bad. also , the torsion bars were too loose that the air shocks too tight, this bent the outer posts that the air shocks connect to.
not a happy day for my doors.

The Delorean is featured on the first page of an article entitled Going Vertical
in the December issue of Modified Mag. The article is a summarized history
of gullwing and scissor door cars, including both production and concept cars.
Both the content and the photos of the cars in the article were very well done.
The Delorean used in this article had a front Euro plate, MJI 1981.
Anyone know the owner of this car is/was, during the photo shoot.
The article is a must read for fans of all gullwing cars.

Two things come to mind: 1) Something is loose in the front end and a
thorough inspection is required. Get the car up on some jackstands and check
for any loose components in the front end. If you don't feel confident
enough to perform this task take the car immediately to a reputable service
center and have a front end alignment/inspection performed. This will show
where the problem lies.
2) Open the trunk and check the jack/tool kit in the tool compartment, it
could be your tool kit sliding back and forth in the front compartment.

When I bought #17145 every time I turned from a stop and go around a corner
I heared the same "clunk" you mention.
Later, I changed for newer tires and I realised the former owner had put one
step higher tire (P205-60-14) in front instead of the recommended
P195-60-14. I bought Eagle GT tires of the rigt size for both front and rear
tires and I never hear that "clunk" again since that time (April 1998...)
Hoe your car will somday be perfect!
