Hello,
Yes, they do have led replacements they fit perfectly with no mods. #194
bulb replacements
Jamstrait makes them.
They can be purchased from their vendors link pages.

Some vendors sell them in pairs and others are sold individually, price them
out some are cheaper than others. Autozone also carries the super-brite.
There are allot of bulbs in the dash so this could get very expensive.
Remember you have two choices the super brites or the hyper-brites. The
differences is 2 leds versus 4 leds, both fit no problem.
Also these can be used for your door lights as well. I would recommend the
hyper-brites. They look cool, you can see the 4 bulb cluster and they are
brighter than the incandscent bulbs.

Ah the insurance thread again and still my favorite because it impacts
everyone,
Ken, you are one of the lucky chosen ones who has/had State Farm previously.
They will not take a DeLoren on anyone writing a new policy with them. They
cancelled all my cars ( only 6) and 2 homes and a farm over the DeLorean
being on a new policy when I moved to Florida. I had paid my money and had
the policy however when it made it to Bloomington their underwriter
cancelled it because they said the DeLorean WAS ON THE "BLACK" LIST. I had
to scramble a beg back to my old company (ANPAC) for coverage.

Is there a way to rebuild these? Mine is not working properly as
well, and I have an extra. I would like to rebuild the extra and
install it. I know of cleaning it out and making sure it's not
clogged. what about the electronics? can this be serviced?

I had Geico prior to buying the Delorean. I switched to State Farm 1 month
prior to buying it and then added it to my polocy. I got a letter from the
underwriter saying that Deloreans are not covered. I called my agent told her
what had hapened and she called them right away and stated that there are other
polocies with Deloreans and she called the underwriters prior to addingthe
Delorean to be sure it would be covered and they said yes. They still sent out
a letter to me after the car was added - my agent called them back with the
letter and got it taken care of and I am a new owner and have both my station
wagon and Delorean on the new polocy. I wish you luck.

As pointed out in the past the rules the insurance companies follow
varies greatly from State to State. You really can only go by the
comments from others in your particular State. Talk to local owners
and see what they do. Be very careful about "regular" insurance and be
sure you understand what you would collect in the event of a "total"
(which in some cases may be a VERY low value!!!) or an unrecovered
stolen, between the deductible and the market value you may be in for
a huge surprise! Unless you intend to make a daily driver out of your
Delorean the best way to go is with classic insurance. Look in
Hemmings Motor News for all of the insurance companies that cater to
older cars and are very reasonable in their rates if you can accept
the limitations on use. In some States some companies can only offer
certain types of insurance, being blacklisted may only mean that they
cannot insure cars older than a certain # of years. On all policies
what you want to insure to is known as "AGREED UPON PRICE" so you know
up front what you will get and not find out after the fact that they
will pull out a book, look up a price of $10,000 subtract $1,500 as
the deductible and hand you $8,500 for a car you think should get you
$15,000. Also at that price it is easy to total the car because many
insurance companies will total the car if the cost to repair is within
20% of the total value of the car. So that means if the damage exceeds
$8,000, they pay you off and keep the car! These numbers are for
example ONLY, your results may vary.

gave me the lowest quote of anybody else that I tried. It was almost half of

As far as I know, no, there isn't a rebuild kit available. At least
not available to the public. It's been a while since I last cracked a
CPR open, but I can tell you that it's not exactly rocket science.
The whole unit is just a shell, with all the internal pieces bolted
in, and a rubber gasket on the bottom sandwiched in to create the
vacuum diaphram. Tore one apart a while back, so if you want a
description, check the archives, although once you open the regulator
up, it's pretty self-explanitory.
I don't know where the rebulids are from, nor who is making them. But
as you can see from John Hervey's web site, they're not just limited
to the DeLorean version! What's funny is when I got my rebuilfd CPR
from DMCH, it appeared that someone scratched out the old model #,
and stamped the correct DeLorean one on. In addition, it also had an
Audi logo molded into the casing that had been scrached off as well!
But it works great, so I'm not gonna complain!
So in the end, I don't know where, or even if you can get
any "rebuild kits", but obviously, they must be out there. And FWIW,
the CPRs that Hervey sells look to be the exact same units at a
slightly cheaper price, judging by the tamper seals, and the filter
screens.

We have a place over here who rebuild them, but they go wrong due to fatigue in, among other things, the internal springs which are very precisely manufactured. The cost to rebuild over here is £120 ($180) approx. I think John Hervey offers a service too.

Robert, Yes I sell them exchange and have them professionally rebuilt as you
can see on the site and calibrated to the Delorean Spec.
If any one has an extra CPR say two or three, I will trade services. Send me
