Basically, you need to determine if the problem is with the wiring through
the doors, the solenoids/switches, or the lock module. There's about a 90%
probability that it's the module.

Dave, In looking at the diagram and not knowing to what extent your back
ground is in electronics and in reading diagrams, it's hard to diagnose some
problems over the chat group with out a lot of back and forth . If you would

Dave, I just replaced a catalytic converter on my truck. I was getting bad
gas mileage
and everyone said the converter might be stopped up. My son in law who works
on cars at a dealership said that if it glows red it ( might ) be bad. My
truck has about 150,000 miles on it at that time and my poor gas mileage,
after replacing the converter for $300.00 was the transmission torque
converter not the catalytic converter. These thing can fool you.

Robert, Does your car have the check valve in the top of the fuel pump. If so
could it be bleeding back and letting the pressure off.The accummulator also
holds pressure in the system.

No rubbing , No scrubbing, I got the brown stains out of my dash with suntan
cream. Just rub a little on the dash and let it sit in the shade for a while.
Then in a day or two rub a little more on. Mine went away in a day or two.
Please report back and let me know how it worked for you. P.S. Use a damp
cloth.

For those of you who ordered a re-issued limited edition Colgan Custom De
Lorean Nose Bra, I'm happy to say that they have arrived! You're gonna love
it when you see it! I didn't expect to see them before Monday, at the
earliest.
I'm adding an additional diagram that I made to show you how to refold your
nose bra. They're like road maps.... they fold up small, but not if you
don't know how!
I've begun breaking down and repacking the bulk delivery into individual
shipping units. I discovered that somehow the storage bags are not with the
shipment. Colgan says they're normally a stock item and they'll ship Monday
by FedEx so I can include them with your order, (if you ordered a storage
bag.)
I've got a website under construction where I'll post pictures and info for a

I just made the 2000 mile round trip to the Cleveland show.
During the Rally last Friday, I stopped at a BP station to fill up. Shortly after the fill up, my
fuel pump started to make a terrible racket with a full tank. The noise would come and
go.
When I got home, I pulled the pump. The suction strainer was jam packed with debris.
Looked like "Coke Fines", thats a term from the oil refineries. Please, no jokes. This
debris causes the pump to cavitate. After I drain the tank, I am going to clean it.
As far as the gas heating up while in the tank, there are three main sources.
1-The engine cooling lines that run along both sides of the tank.
2-Hot air from the radiator.
3-Engine heat into the fuel lines.
The reason the pump makes that horrible noise is that it is caviating, that is there are
vapor bubbles being formed and then collapsing. Cavitation can be caused by
1-In sufficient suction head, ie: low fuel level
2-Increased line loses, ie: plugged suction strainer or collapsed hose.
3-Hot gasoline, which vaporizes more readily.
How can we correct this problems?
1-Keep the gas tank full when driving, do not let the level drop to empty.
2-Make sure that the suction strainer is clean.
3-Make sure there are no kinkes in the suction hose.
I am currently working on a replacement suction hose that will not collaspe, and is
impervious to the reformulated fuels. The reformulated fuels have different additives
which chemically attack the rubber used in the suction hoses that you are currently able
to buy.
I have been running a prototype suction hose and strainer for the past two years. The
prototype components are not pretty, but strictly functional. They are inside the tank, so
you can not see them anyway.
I will keep the group posted on my progress.

If the higher power PRV6 variations were available in the states (and
parts to rebuild them) I am sure a DMC block could be rebuild with parts
from the high power cousins.
This has been discussed before on the list, and I have had some
discussions with fellow DeLorean owners about it. In theory, it would
be possible to swap the fuel system, intake, exhaust, and even heads
with one of the higher power PRV6 motors. I hear there are even 24V
heads for the PRV6, getting 250+ HP with no forced induction.
The big problem here in the USA is that we can just run over to a bone
yard to look for possible donor cars. I suspect the DeLorean community
across the pond either does not have enough interest to do this, or has
done it but they are keeping the secrets to themselves! :)
Our only other option in the US for real power is either a motor swap,
or to wait for the Stage II or Stage III DMC Houston motor.

Is anyone out there willing to sell their limited edition DeLorean model

I really want to one. I talked to Lee few times and he told me that he's got
one for me. I even got a reservation number 037/94-6298. But then Lee just
stopped responding to my emails.Last email I got from him was 6 months ago.
I can see him post sometimes on the DML, but when I try emailing him I never
get any response.

Not uncommon. If you like living on "the edge" of fuel, watch for the
yellow low-fuel light. I've found it begins "flashing" with ~2gals. left, &
stays on with ~1.5gal. left, regardless of where the guage needle sits.
Driving back from St. Louis, my tripometer read 340 mi. & the yellow light
was just starting to flash at me. By then I was home (Tulsa) so I don't
know how much further I could've gone. Oh, my! Drive Stainless
