  Perhaps we could convert to similar steam engine that the Doble steam car had/has. Not as nearly well known as the Stanley, but MUCH more econimical. Could reportedly go from "cold to road" in ~20 seconds and used about a gallon of water in 200 miles.  Some fellow bought the company from the Doble family & moved it to California a few years ago with the intention of producing a modern version of the Doble. Where did it go?
