Steve, 

I thought the same thing.  My first thought was that DeLoreans draw attention 
and sensationalism is what reporters seem to love.

On the other hand, though, they apparently used his DeLorean to help track him 
down and verify his identity.  You can still see the photo they (probably) used 
on the DMA site:

It is a shame but I don't understand why they had to bring up him being a 
delorean owner. Would they be as excited about his vehicle if he owner a hummer?
