[DML] SpecialTAuto (Hervey) Angle Drive Product Review

I have gone through two angle drives in the past 18 or so months of
Delorean ownership and have decided to give Hervey's a try since his
is designed a little differently. So far I am very pleased with it
and want to let everyone know about it.
Days after I got home with 16510 the angle drive broke so I had to
replace it. The first angle drive I installed broke because I did not
bother to grease the thing. The second angle drive didn't really
break but the metal shaft didn't seem to do a good job at making a
connection with the dust cap. This meant that the functioning angle
drive wasn't able to turn because it simply wasn't being turned by the
dust cap.
There are a few major improvements in Hervey's unit that I would like
to let everyone know about. First the metal shaft in his is
removable. Not only is it removable but it is a little longer than
the one on the unit I just removed from the car. This means it is
able to seat itself further into the dust shield than the unit I had
before.
And last but not least it is a sealed unit which does not need
lubrication. Hervey says on his website that he has been
using/testing one for 6 months without any problems. Right now I am
very pleased and am hoping to see this thing stay in service for at
least a few years. It comes with a 1 year warranty.
