[DML] Re: Magazine Printing Costs

 Just taking this opportunity to say that I've seen some of Steve's magazines in the past, and they looked very professional.  I've also had his print guys do a few small print jobs for me, specifically a couple of orders of full color double sided glossy coated 4x6 inch promo cards in print runs of 5000 each.  Got a great price and they looked fantastic :-)

I will get you a quote. I owned several magazines and in many areas printers are 
VERY hungry. I just did a reprint for someone on a job that was 10 years old. My 
cost dropped 70% from what I paid 10 years ago.

I am assuming the 5th color is gloss. If it is spot please let me know. I don't 
have a copy of the mag handy, what is the trim?

  That's $5.42 cost per copy for a 40 page minimum, five color magazine on 80
  lb gloss stock. DCS Magazine was about $3.00 more per issue to print. I
  think we're getting an outstanding deal for a low run print publication! 

  However, if you can do better than that, by all means, send me some quotes!
