Valvoline 20-50 is good oil and it's the best oil you can use in your DeLorean. If I'm not mistaken, it's also the oil that DMC Service centers use.

            Dear fellow De Lorean owners,

For years I have been using Valvoline 20-50 in my De Lorean. The engine has less than 20,000 miles.

When our engines were selected for our cars I don't beleive that synthetic oils were available. Is there reason to believe that one of these synthetic oils will do a better job at protecting our engines or should I continue to use the same oil and the same weight that I have been using?

If there is a good reason to switch to one of the synthetic oils, what weight do you suggest?

What is your favorite oil?

I will appreciate any thoughts on this.

You may write me off list, if you wish.
