Cool!  I actually thought about this a while back & I'm glad to see it 
can be done... I wondered how to attach the cable to the wheel in place 
of the angle drive. Could I just remove the angle drive and screw the 
cable in where the a.d. was?  Or do I need to make a "custom" cable like 
yours?   I'd do this in a second if I could get the all the parts 
easily.  Is our car "standard" when it comes to the speedo fittings?  
i.e. could I just buy a similar-length speedo cable made for another 
car, say an older GM, I wonder?  I could care less about a 12% 
difference on the guages.
