Thanks, I received a few replies off list also and have located the side
cover. The bottom cover has me stumped. I found four bolts on the bottom but
they were 17mm and look like they connect the bell housing to the tranny. I
am guessing the ones I need to remove are somewhere above the bottom frame
crossover. I need to get a better look. Nothing like laying on your back
with jack stands holding the car up.

There are 2 "dust covers" one is at the bottom of the bell housing and is
held on by 4-11mm bots. This cover is often not replaced as I am told it is
not necessary. You would be able to see the 4 threaded holes in the lower
portion of the bell housing. The second cover is held on by 2-11mm bolts and
is behind the y-pipe on the driver side. It holds the flywheel pickup (not
used on the Delorean). You should be able to feel a cable behind the bell
housing on that side. These shield bolts are a bear to get out/in. They also
bold into the bell housing.
I also had difficulty getting my tranny out because the input shaft had
rusted somewhat to the clutch spline. Good luck.
