I had the same problem of no Lambda/FV power but it was caused by the 
relay had not been aligned (soldered) properly when the RPM relay was 
built.
I don't see a problem mounting inverted.  If you can find a Green 
case you can install the circuit board either way.
I sell a new solid state micro-processor controlled replacement 
circuit board if your interested....No relays to fail.
