In case you're interested. Ken was kind enough to allow me to drive the raffle car for several days while my car was out of town and I can testify that the car runs great. I had an awesome time driving it... that is after Ken explained to me that you had to pull UP and over to get it into reverse. My Mustang is a stick but my DeLorean is an automatic. The car accelerated great and ran great. It was kind of nice having the manual 5th gear on the highway when I was so used to only having the automatic 3rd gear. Another thing I experienced for the first time in the raffle car was air conditioning. My car is still undergoing an A/C system reconstruction. The air was cold as I've ever felt. I also greatly appreciated the radio reception that I got in the raffle car as opposed to the reception I get in my windshield antenna. Lastly the handeling in the car was great. During the time that I was fortunate enough to drive it, Cliff, Ken, Shawn, Jeremy, and I were up at Cliffs where the car was aligned right where it should be. Thanks again Ken for letting me borrow the car and offering it to me so many times when my car gets taken out of commission. I'll be buying a ticket as soon as I turn 21 in march. -Nick Roedl- #1643 ---- Original message ---- Date: Sun, 28 Oct 2007 18:32:12 EDT From: kKoncelik@xxxxxxx Subject: [DML] Raffle car update. To: dmcnews@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx The raffle car has made it through a year on the road now and it had been driven about 2000 miles since it was refurbished. The car has proven to be a steady driver and now it will be put away for the winter where it will get a clean up and again go over it for next year when it will be raffled off. Look for it if we do any spring socials as we will get it out. The car has been shown in three states this summer and has been on promotional loan to two churches.
