I never said people who use HEI are wasting their money.  Five 
out of my 7 cars use high energy ignition.  

My point is that performance is relative.  Most everyone who
tries out an HEI solution on a DeLorean are doing so because
their car doesn't run right.  Of Course they are going to see
a performance improvement.  Relative to a poorly running
car with old parts, a new set of OEM parts would be a 
performance improvement.  What I would like to know is 
the relative performance difference between the HEI solution
and a properly tuned car running original parts.  That is the
performance difference you are Actually Getting.

And your analogy misses the point I am trying to make.  There
are very clear, measurable differences between an internet
connection across a phone line and broadband.  You didn't 
upgrade from a worn-out phone line that was only getting
38Kb bandwidth and go to broadband that gets 60Kb.  You
pulled the engine and gearbox and changed the whole works.
