The best way to look at "negative ground" labels is that the uninsulated metal parts and ground wires connected to the battery are connected to the negative terminal. There are some positive ground vehicles and equipment, albeit rare. Mostly they are very old. The whole car uses the frame, uninsulated side of and electrical part as the negative or ground side. -----Original Message----- From: dmcnews@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:dmcnews@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of daviddlasvegas Sent: Monday, July 16, 2007 2:58 PM To: dmcnews@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [DML] why denote "negative ground" on stickers Why do the warning stickers on the car say "this car is negative ground". On a DC electrical system ground has to be negative doesn't it? How could you have a 'positive ground' that doesn't make any sense. No virus found in this incoming message.
