I will call the vendors mentioned to see what is the availability of
this item. My plan is plan A B C
Plan A, find a driver's side bar for purchase. Costly but she is
family, I have received a lead here. My question is how do you tell a
drivers side bar from a passengers side bar?
Plan B; repair broken the torsion bar using the best welder you can
find. Use in car and put replacement bar aside in case plan B fails.
Plan C, have a new torsion bar made by my professional, (told it is not
a problem with correct information), use in car, if it fails go to plan
B, if that fails go to plan A.
I am not looking to hold onto a used torsion bar, just trying to cover
my bases in case of failure. I have received some very good information
here, which I will deliver to my welder/fabricator.
I do believe my welder will be able to repair the bar from our meeting.
