I have owned 6452 for over 15 years. I decided to add a 3rd brake
light which is the first "modification" of the car from stock. I
mounted them (two seperat lights) on the top of the first louver
against the center brace and they look great.
I wired them down to the back and connected them to the green and
purple wire and the ground in the back of the car and everything works
well. I decided while I was at it I would "clean up" the tail lights,
check the screws that I had added to the light sockets (I guess that
was actually the first mod)and then clean up the license plate holder.
I used "Back to Black" on the black trim on the lights and they look
new. I repainted the the license plate holder and it looks OK.
Anyway, I put it all back together and I noticed that the gap between
the license plate holder and the tail light assembly, on the left side,
is significantly less than on the right side. Truthfully, I never
noticed this before I took it apart so I am wondering if this is normal?
I did try to "adjust" it by moving the tail light assembly or the
license plate holder but it is really not adjustable. Is this normal?
is there a way to fix this short of patching the holes and moving the
license plate holder over a 1/4 of an inch?
Just wondering.....
