I've had almost the same problem for the same exact amount of time for
#10715. I think it may be the cables. I can feel the switch
"racheting" with the *brrrp!* sound, but like your car, my p.b. does
two things: Diddly and Squat.
I think what I may ultimately do is just buy a kit with the cables,
pads, forks etc. But I think they go for like <$200. For now, I just
leave her in first with the wheels turned towards the curb when on an
incline. Though I avoid parking the car on very steep surfaces without
the parking brake. Clutch seems to hold pretty well. (I know, I know-
I'm not supposed to do that.)
