There's no reason the DeLorean can't continue.  When Citroen finally 
decided to axe the 2CV, an entrepreneur negotiated with the factory, 
bought the molds & so on, re-set in an old warehouse and is 
successfully producing new "ducks" to this day!  All anyone has to do 
is purchase rights to the, "DeLorean" name, get hold of the 
blueprints, and make appropriate modern-day changes.  Any investor 
with a couple million on their hands could make DeLorean live, breathe 
& jump again!  With 25 years of r & d behind them, an enterprising 
individual could get it right this time.
