I ordered a set of "Igniters" from a catalog similar to Sharper Image
(can't remember the name, but I believe it was a proper name, like
Harrington's) The company Head Honcho also owns (owned) a Delorean. They
had a lifetime warranty, & had 3 electrodes extending up toward the center
plug rod. I've been using them for ~15-18 yrs. with no problems. They are
occ. taken out & cleaned to keep things running smoothly. Don't know if
they are available anywhere any more or not. They work for me. Drive
Stainless Robert VIN 6924

If you've boosted your car with a turbo or supercharger, then upgrading the
ignition makes sense, both in theory and practice. If your car isn't
boosted, then I agree with John that any "performance" increase is likely to
fall somewhere between nil and virtually non-existent. I agree that
replacing almost ANY 25 year old igbnition with almost ANY new ignition
could be like night and day.
