Marc,
   You  are absolutely correct. I bought some 3.5 speakers, that could handle 45 watts, but they would not work due to protruding center piece. Believe it or not, Wal-Mart has 3.5 speakers, no modifications required, but they max at 25 watts, standard 8 watts. If anyone knows speakers that can be installed in front and rear with high wattage, with no modifications required let me know. Issue: Finding speakers that can handle the higher watts of new stereos, but fits as-is in the Delorean?
