[DML] Replacing tranny seals, roll pin wont budge

Hello everyone,

I finally decided to fix my leaky tranny seals however the roll pin on 
the drivers side will not budge. I am afraid that if I keep banging on 
it I will damage the tranny internals. Is there a particular way the 
pin is supposed to come out? Can it be punched from either side?
