I recently noticed some seemingly excessive heat coming from the fuseholders 
on my Fanzilla.  A few days ago I asked the question about rewiring the 
Fanzilla plugs to bypass the breaker.  I did that, which reduced the heat a 
little, but still not enough for my personal comfort.  It sounds like your 
Fanzilla is fried, but for others with Fanzillas & too much heat, here's 
what I did:

1: Remove and clean the fuses & fuseholders.  They're probably clean 
already, but it doesn't hurt.

2: On the "caps" for the fuseholders, the fuses are retained by pressure 
from a small piece of metal that's bent outward.  It's tough to describe, 
but you'll know what I mean when you see one.  I used a small screwdriver to 
pry it outward a little more & improve the connection between the caps & the 
fuses.

3: Still not comfortable with the amount of contact between the fuse & the 
cap - and I know this is a seriously "ghetto" solution but it works - I 
balled up a little tinfoil & stuck it in the top of the cap.  If you look 
into the top of the cap, there isn't a whole lot of metal to metal contact 
between the fuse & the cap.

After doing these 3 things, the Fanzilla fuseholders get warm, but not 
outright hot like they used to get.  I also followed it up by cleaning the 
cooling fan motor plugs with some contact cleaner spray.

All of this is YMMV as I doubt all Fanzilla units were made with identical 
parts.
