I saw a child in the "back seat" who rode from Germany to the prior  
Eurofest. Ok, only halfway in the back. The parents somehow installed a  child seat 
between the bucket seats, more or less further back than theirs.  Don't know if 
they had to modify the parcel shelf to do it. As to whether I'd  ever let my 
two youngest kids ride stacked two deep and belted in,  for an emergency short 
ride... no comment.
