Keep in mind that a great use for the luggage rack is for hauling one of the 
rear tires in case of a flat (and a passenger).  I typically end up using my 
luggage rack at least once a month, and it has recently been used to haul 
groceries, Christmas presents, and a child car seat (new in box, not with 
the child in it).

Couldn't imagine having my D without it.
