hi
i could be wrong but i think some people have rigged theirs so that 
the light comes on when the fans are on.
they then cover the failure bit behing the instrument panel so it 
lights 'cooling fans'.
so you know when they are running.
maybe it could be this?. not sure with mine as i have yet to run her 
more that 30 secs (engine problems!!)
